Information we collect

The only personal information we collect on this site is what you choose to send us through our forms:

• Contact form — your name, email address, company (optional), and message.
• ReBooks waitlist — your name and email address.
• Portraits demo request — the name of your childcare establishment, your name, your email address, the number of children, and an optional message.

Like most websites, our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and troubleshooting.

How we use your information

We use this information to respond to your message, follow up on your project or demo request, and — if you joined the ReBooks waitlist — let you know about the launch. Submissions are stored in our database and forwarded to our team inbox.

We never sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses a small number of essential cookies: a session cookie and a security (CSRF) cookie needed for the forms to work. Your theme preference (light or dark) is kept in your browser’s local storage.

With your consent, we also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. Analytics cookies are only set if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner; if you decline, no analytics run at all. Your choice is remembered for one year. You can change your mind at any time by deleting this site’s cookies in your browser, which will make the banner appear again. Google may process analytics data outside Quebec and Canada.

Third-party providers

We share information with a small number of service providers, and only what they need to do their job:

• Hosting providers store the website and its database.
• Email providers deliver our notification emails.
• Google Analytics measures site traffic, only with your consent.

Some of these providers process data outside Quebec and Canada. When that is the case, we rely on contractual safeguards so your information receives adequate protection.

Data retention

We keep form submissions for as long as needed to handle your request and maintain our business relationship. Waitlist entries are kept until launch notifications are sent or until you ask to be removed.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or withdraw your consent. To exercise these rights, write to info@paralel.ca. You can also file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Quebec Law 25 and PIPEDA

This site is designed to comply with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25, and with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
